To Our Prospective Judges:

The Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair is the longest continually operating science fair in the United States. The fair brings together several hundred student exhibits from a ten-county area of north Texas. We support our mission of promoting interest in science and engineering by offering significant educational opportunities to our participants.

The 61st annual Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be held February 26–27, 2012, at the University of Texas at Arlington's new College Park Center in downtown Arlington, TX. In addition to the new venue, several new schools are expected to enter, and students in both Divisions I and II will be invited to present their projects to the judging panels.

As a FWRSEF judge, you will serve as a member of a small judging panel evaluating one of the sixteen categories of exhibits. Judging will take place on Monday, February 27, 2012. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM, accompanied by a continental breakfast. Judging will be held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a catered lunch. In the afternoon, a separate panel will select the best-of-fair exhibits from the individual category winners. You may indicate separately if you would like to be a member of the Best-Of-Fair panel. Additional instructions and schedule information about the 2012 Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair will be e-mailed with your confirmation letter prior to the fair.

Please let us know if you would like to serve as a judge in the upcoming fair by completing the form below and returning it via email or fax by Friday, February 2, 2102. If you know someone who would be interested in serving as a science fair judge, please feel free to forward this invitation and information form for their use.

Your voluntary contribution of time and effort is indispensable to the success of the Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Quality judging, together with personal feedback to participants, has encouraged science education among the teachers, parents, and students. Your participation will help to continue this fine tradition.

Sincerely,
John Colotta - Judging Chair
